EcoStress Sask is a non-profit organization that offers people living in Saskatchewan and beyond support for dealing with distress caused by environmental threats and losses. We provide an opportunity for people to connect and support each other through facilitated support group sessions, workshops, and other events.

Who we are
EcoStress Sask started in 2021 when its three co-founders came together to figure out how to provide support for people struggling with eco-stress following that summer’s awful climate-related weather events. The three co-founders are:

Russell Charlton, MEd, is a registered psychologist (provisional), climate-aware therapist, and facilitator. He’s a co-founder of EcoStress Sask and has been co-facilitating EcoStress groups since 2022. He’s also worked in various roles in human services and has been involved in environmental volunteering and work, from organizing and advocacy to spending 4 years on a small off-grid eco-farm.
Russell’s website can be found here.
Amy Snider is an environmental activist, volunteering with David Suzuki Foundation, EnviroCollective, Regina Energy Transition and several other groups. She is also one of seven applicants taking the Government of Saskatchewan to court over their continued development of new gas-fired energy plants. Amy is an artist who uses her art to convey the impacts of climate change on the world and on herself, psychologically.
Amy’s website can be found here.
